Impact Wrestling TV recorded at Skyway Studios in Nashville, Tennessee, and aired on AXS TV on October 21, 2021

The highlights of last week’s Impact Wrestling show aired...

Josh Matthews and Deloitte Brown are commenting...

1. "Bullet Club" Chris Bey and Hikuleo play against "FinJuice" David Finlay and Juice Robinson. Bey and Hikuleo appeared in the original Bullet Club theme song. Hikuleo shoveled Finlay with his shoulder. Bey marks and walks into Finlay's suplex. Juice marks and hits Bey twice with the sentry. Bey blocked a kick combination and marked Hikuleo. Robinson gave Hikuleo a foothold and marked Finlay, who gave Hikuleo an axe handle to strike.

Hikuleo escaped the head lock and hit Finlay with the side suplex. Bey marked and teased a high flying maneuver, but hit Finlay with the rear harrow. Bay hit Finley with an empty ball, got two counts, and entered a methodical offense. Finley got a window of opportunity after hitting Bey with a back suplex. Bey is marked in Juice, and he assembles on a clothesline. Robinson knocked Hikuleo off the apron. The juice gave Bay ten punches and took a bite in the corner. Juice tracks Bey with cannonballs.

After Finlay's mark, Finjuice hit Bey with a high-low combination. Hikuleo broke the pin. Bey hit Finlay with two count wins. Finlay casts a spell on Bey, but Bey's foot caught the referee. Refer to the bump! ! ! Hikuleo gave Finlay a suffocation. The second referee ran out and Finley kicked Bey's ball in 2 points.

Finlay countered Bey's knife with a neck breaker. Juice and Hikuleo fight telegram with Juice. Hikuleo blocked the last punch and slammed Juice. After the commotion, Juice rolled up Hikuleo and Bey rolled up Finlay. Both referees were retracted and counted two separate pins.

FinJuice and the bullet club ended with a clear no-competition at 8:23.

Juice and Bey protested to the referee, and their respected team won. Josh Mathews said Juice Robinson is a legal pin in his eyes. When the wrestlers were arguing in the ring, the referees stepped back to think carefully...[c]

John's thoughts: I guess this is how we entered Good Brothers vs. FinJuice vs. Bullet Club in the triple threat of Bound For Glory to the doubles championship. I don't like this ending. This is a very Jarrett-style "TNA" overbooking with mandatory ref bumps and artificial finishes.

FinJuice, the bullet club and two referees argued for the end of the game backstage. Scott D'Amore appeared and heard different cases. D'Amore yelled to everyone to stop. He said he will decide the first contender for the Good Brothers title in Bound For Glory later in the show...

Josh Mathews and D'Lo Brown completed the Bound For Glory and Impact competitions in the advertisement. Josh announced that the awesome hole was inducted into the Influence Hall of Fame on Saturday, and pointed out that the digital media champion will be crowned on Saturday...

A documentary-style promotional film was broadcast to highlight Josh Alexander. Alexander talked about growing up in poverty and being bullied in school. Josh said that professional wrestling motivated him to get better, and he said that his first job was a tire technician. He said he did this because it allowed him to take a Friday vacation to practice professional wrestling. Josh talked about C4 neck fusion, and after subsequent injuries, he was told that he might have to retire. Josh said that the physical pain is terrible, but the mental pain is also terrible.

He said that the second injury prompted him to re-mount the horse and try to achieve greater success. Josh talked about exploiting the loopholes to get out of Canada and wrestle independently in the United States. Josh thanked George Iceman, the owner of Destiny Wrestling, because he was the one who caught his attention. They showed footage of Scott D'Amore and Josh Alexander signing the Impact contract on the Destiny show.

Josh compared X Division to the lightweight champion of WCW. Josh talked about people like Low Ki inspiring him with different professional wrestling styles. Josh said that the quality of X Division games is always the best. Josh then talked about Chris Sabin as his most difficult opponent on Victory Road in Impact Plus. According to Sabine and the people backstage, Josh defeated the best Division X champion. What can he do next? Josh talked about wanting to feel pressure. He said he could challenge Christian Cage, one of the most iconic wrestlers in the industry.

Alexander said that he has advantages in size, strength and speed over Christian, but Christian has an advantage in experience, which means a lot. Alexander said that what everyone must know is that everyone must keep up with Josh Alexander, not the other way around. Alexander said that he had overcome a lot of things to get to this point, so that he could not accept failure. This ends the promotion...[c]

John's thoughts: Amazing video package! This reminds me of the "Main Target" documentary package produced by Jeremy Borash, which NXT produced for their World Championship. This video package does an excellent job of showing Josh Alexander’s life story and goal of becoming a world champion. Josh was very sincere and kind. Although they may be Christian Cage documentaries from somewhere on the WWE network, I don't mind if we associate it with Impact in the Christian aspect of getting this video package later in the show.

The entrance to the next game happened...

1. Crazzy Steve and Chelsea Green play against Jordynne Grace and Fallah Bahh against Tenille Dashwood (w/Kaleb Konley) and John Skyler. Bahh betrayed Green's offense early. Bahh missed the long live the drop. Green hit Bahh twice with a shotgun airdrop. Steve joins and fights Bahh to a corner. Steve bit Bach's forehead in the corner. Skyler marked Bahh. Skyler hit Steve with a sweep of his leg.

Dashwood marked with a methodical offense and teamed up with Steve. Steve reversed the situation after biting Tenier and John. Grace marked and hit Dashwood with a spine destroyer. Grace hit Skyler with a meteorite and an uppercut in the basement. Grace hit Skyler with a Vader bomb. Grace hit Dashwood after the punch and almost fell. Bahh eventually splashed a bunch of people in the corner. Skyler tilted towards Bahh's eyes to prevent him from hitting Dashwood with a long live fall.

Steve grabbed Skyler with a Superman punch. Steve caught Bahh with a diving DDT. Skyler dragged Steve to the circus. Dashwood hit Bahh with a Spotlight Kick and won.

Tenille Dashwood and John Skyler defeated Fallah Bahh, Jordynne Grace, Chelsea Green and Crazy Steve in 5 minutes and 24 seconds.

The rhino already looked depressed in the ring. Before he could speak, Heath [Slater] entered. Heath told the rhinoceros that it sounded like the cat’s tongue was still there. Heath said he was confused, and I believe fans are also confused about this. He said that he and the rhino have experienced a lot. Heath said they knew each other's family. Heath said that this kind of non-communication would not work.

He said he wanted to hear about the rhino when he was injured, but he didn't. Heath said that Eric Young and VBD must have had an impact on Rhino. Heath begged the rhino to say something. Heath said he wanted to tell Rhino "I love you". He said that his family, himself and Heath's two young daughters missed Uncle Rhino. This made the rhino smile faintly. The entry of Eric Young, Deaner and Joe Doering spoiled the rewarding moment. Yang calmly took the microphone from the rhinoceros.

Young said that VBD is forever and you will not leave. He said that Rhino has reached an agreement and VBD is now his family. Heath asked Rhino if he would bear "that". He said it was not a family, it was just a crazy bald, a creepy guy, and a guy in a cowboy hat. Yang said he told the rhinoceros the truth. Heath said the rhino was brainwashed. Heath said to listen to the voices of people and Heath, because "we love you". Dina hit Heath. Deander and Doering put their boots on Heath. The rhino looked at nothing.

The rhino walked slowly to Dina and pulled him off Heath. The rhino made fun of Goringheath. Yang told Rhino to tear Heath in half. Rhino didn't stab someone (I expected him to stab Young or Doering), but instead rolled under the rope and slowly walked out of the ring and the arena. VBD continued to attack Heath. The attack ended with Young hitting the back of Heath's neck with the VBD flag...

Mickie James appeared backstage and walked towards the ring...[c]

John's thoughts: Hey, this is some good stuff, and one of my favorite influence TV clips in my recent memory, at least in terms of storytelling. I still really like Heath Slater's approach to speaking calmly and speaking like a human being. Seriously, I hope to see WWE sign Heath and win their world championship in a year. Complete the 3MB three facts, because this guy is ready! In this regard, he did a good job of building a sincere sympathy for himself and Rhion. He is not alone either, because the rhino does a great job of playing the role of the conflicting soul. He didn't speak at all, instead he said a lot and told a fascinating story. I totally hope he can kill someone from the VBD, I like the nuances when he walks away. This is a good storytelling, and I look forward to the next chapter on Saturday.

The episode aired for the premiere of Minoru Susuki's Impact. He was labeled "coming soon"...

3. Mickie James vs. Savannah Evans (w/Tasha Steelz). Mickey immersed himself in the "Welcome Back" carol and started the game. Evans dominated the first collar and elbow. Mitch walked to Savannah's lap, but Savannah pushed her away. Mickey punches and sleeps, but Evans punches Mickey in the corner. Mickie avoided a tackle and hit Evans at the corner. Mickey used a kick combination to stagger Evans.

Tasha tripped Mickey, which made Evans grab Mickey with his big boots. Evans trains Mickey in an orderly offensive manner. Evans hugged Mickey in a bear hug. Mickie released the grip with his forearm. Mickie took a bite and escaped. Mickey pulled down the top rope and wrapped it around Savannah's leg. Mickey used strikes to train Evans. Evans escaped Mickey's DDT attempt. Mickie hit Evans with a top rope to count twice. Deonna Purrazzo stepped off the stage.

Evans pushed Mickey into the corner and slapped her. Mickie almost escaped Full Nelson, but Evans slammed Mickie with Full Nelson Slam and scored two points. Mickey kicked Evans twice. Mickie hit Evans with Mickie-DDT and won.

Mickie James defeated Savannah Evans in 7 minutes and 27 seconds.

Diona laughed at Mickey in her apron. Matthew Rehwoldt appeared suddenly and gave Mickie a clothesline. Deonna grabbed Mickie's hair and pushed Mickie onto the mat. Deonna Purrazzo proposes to end this paragraph...[c]

John's thoughts: Shouldn't Rehwoldt have some shows with Laredo Kid? Did I forget something? In any case, for the game, Mickie returned to Impact TV well. Although I don’t necessarily want to see Savannah Evans lose the game on TV so early, they do their best by giving Savannah 90% offensive opportunities. With this, it made Evans too strong, and it also showed Mickey's iconic bravery.

Gia Miller found Deonna Purrazzo and Matthew Rehwoldt and pointed out that Deonna appeared to have violated the no-contact clause and made Mickie lie. Deonna said she did nothing because her king of drama did everything for her. Scott D'Amore showed up, and Deonna reiterated her view that Rehwoldt let her lie.

D'Amore pointed out that Deonna had technical contact with Mickie and should lose the title. Deonna said that she cannot lose the title due to technical issues. D'Amore said he will not cancel his women's championship a few days before Bound For Glory. D'Amore said that the championship game is still in progress, but Matt Rehwoldt is barred from entering the circus. D'Amore stated that if Rehwoldt shows up, then he and Deonna will be "permanently suspended."

John's thoughts: I have some people who think that Doc Rivers will want to park Ben Simmons "forever" on the Philadelphia 76ers.

They aired this week's Brian Myers "How to Become a Professional Skit". This week's course is "consequence". Last week, Miles rebuked Bill, VSK, lemons and dice for embarrassing him. Bill said he agreed and he kept taking notes. Miles said that notes are not good, they must shed blood. Miles pointed out that VSK lost to Swann. Lemon laughed at VSK. Myers said that Lemon failed the test and should help VSK. He said that in his future endeavors, lemon is the best. He said he would send Lemon a garbage bag full of all his supplies.

Bill said they need this kind of tough love, and he likes to see Miles like this. Myers shouted, the mind needs to roll. Bill jumped up and tried to wish Zicky Dice the best in his future endeavours. Miles implied that the dice would not be cut. Beale believes that VSK has been cut off. Miles told Bill that Bill was laid off. Bill asked if Miles would sign his photo. Miles asked VSK to sign the photo. Bill looked sad at the end of this part...

Scott D'Amore was on the phone with someone in his board room, saying that IInspiration was not here to sign the contract. RD Evans shows up, and D'Amore notices that he used to be Deonna's barrister. RD stated that he represents IInspiration and will sign the contract on their behalf. Rosemary and Jessika Havoc "teleport" to the room where the contract was signed.

Rosemary complained that the contract must be signed with ink instead of blood. Rosemary said excitedly that she smelled virgin blood in RD. D'Amore calmed her down. Havoc and Rosemary signed a contract. Evans signed IInspiration. Rosemary laughed at Evans before the label champion left (at least they did not teleport)...[c]

The entrance to the next game happened...

4. Trey Miguel vs. Alex Zayne. Miguel dominated the early chain wrestling. After separation, Zayne used Belly to Back suplex to plan Miguel. Trey used a strength test to bring Zayne to the mat, where he tried several stitches. Zayne won two victories. Trey teased a dive on the circus, but Zahn stopped him and interrupted him.

The two stood in a stalemate for a while. Zayne solves Trey with enzuigiri. Trey avoided Asai Moonsault. Trey hit Zayne with Asai Moonsault into a commercial interruption. [c]

The good brother hyped up Wrestling Week in the advertisement. Trey hit Zayne with a back suplex. Trey locked Zayne in a unique hammer lock octopus compartment. Zayne escaped and beat Trey. Zayne turned Trey upside down with a lasso. Zayne hit Trey with a beautiful handstand Frankenstein. Trey hit Zayne with half a meteor, and counted two. Trey missed a circular saw kick, but hit a return ball. Zayne recovered and hit Trey with his knee.

Trey escaped from the corner. Zane blocked the sunset bomb. Trey hit Zayne with Cheeky Nandos and Tiger Feint. Trey hit Zayne with a rope meteor to win.

Trey Miguel defeated Alex Zayne in 8 minutes and 16 seconds.

John's thought: a wonderful match between two talented wrestlers. I look forward to high points and fast tempo, but its tempo is surprisingly good, a mix of fast movement and slow build. Hope that Impact can bring in Zayne, because he seems to be the type that can really add something to their lineup. I am surprised that WWE has never done anything to him, but occasionally treats him as a staff member. He seems to be someone who will work hard on NXT 2.0, even if they give him Joe Gacy a makeover.

Josh Mathews pointed out that Trey is creating momentum for Bound for Glory. Steve McLean appeared and attacked Tremiguel from behind. McLean let Miguel lie on the ground, holding the drill claws. The bullet club trio of Phantasmo, Hikuleo and Bey ran away. The trio dominated Macleans by numbers. Phantasmo let Maclin lie on the bed with a full load of super kicks. Phantasmo let Miguel lie down on a hay machine...

Josh Mathews and D'Lo Brown completed the Bound For Glory and pre-match in the advertisement...

Josh Alexander enters the Skyway Studios ring...[c]

John's thoughts: Damn, I kind of wish they could give Christian a documentary video package, especially since Impact has a lot of non-WWE history about Christian in their library. The inner part of the ring between Alexander and Christian was good last week, so this should be good.

With 8 minutes left in the game, Josh Alexander was in the ring with a microphone. Alexander talked about playing against Christian at the World Championships a few days later. He pointed out that he was taking risks. When he was almost forced to quit professional wrestling and was forced to work on a construction site just to provide food to his family’s table, he thought he would not be at any risk. He said that he took all risks and stood in his current position, the number one competitor.

He said he was willing to take risks all day. At home, Alexander told his sons not to give up their dreams and use everything they have to chase their dreams. Alexander said he will win the championship on Saturday because every adventure pays off. Christian Cage enters. Chrisian pointed out that it is two days away from BFG. He said he knew where Alexander was, because Christian had been in this position for decades.

He said that the key to getting into that position is to deal with pressure. Christian said that some people collapse under pressure and are gradually forgotten, while others like Christian thrive under pressure and win world championships. Christian said that Alexander did not prove to him that he has the ability to become a champion. Alexander said this criticism is familiar. He said that people say that Alexander is just a doubles player, which should be familiar to Christian. Alexander pointed out that Christian had the same shame when he entered Impact in 2005.

Alexander said that Christian may say that he wants to help the next generation, but as long as he receives a salary from a millionaire in another company, he will not represent Impact Wrestling. Alexander said that he won the world championship and slammed the penalty door on Christian's face. Alexander said that if others want to pass through the barred gate, then they must meet walking weapons, world champions and the best wrestlers in the world.

Christian said that Josh is not even the best wrestler in Canada, let alone in the ring. Christian said nothing will change, and the label will be written "still". Alexander attacked Christian and placed him in an ankle lock. The security guard ran out to separate the two. The Impact locker room also ran out to separate the two people. In the end, both people were allowed to calm down and Christian was allowed to walk onto the stage. Christian took a photo with the championship belt to end the show...

John's thought: The wonderful promo that ended the show, and Josh Alexander cut off the best promo of his career so far. It was inspired, based on reality, and hyped the world championship at their biggest PPV this year. In this discord, Christian also deserves a lot of praise. He also did all the right things to make Alexander a sentimental darling without changing his mind in the process. As a confident veteran, Christian did a good job.

This is a very good homecoming show, and one of my favorite impact dramas from top to bottom in my recent memory. If there are no Swinger's Palace or zombie women occupying unnecessary 10 minutes in the show, they can get bonus points. The best part of the show involves the way Josh Alexander is presented. They have presented Christian as a spokesperson for Impact. A low-key gem in the show is the storyline of Heath and Rhino, because I really like their twists and turns, because Rhino did not fully commit to his old label partners. Good things run through, and I look forward to seeing how some of these stories pay off when I make a live comment on the show on Saturday.
